A couple of lapses moving the ball across the back got us off on the wrong foot and left us chasing the game against a well drilled Pistons side, who benefit a lot from playing together every week (unlike us). Once we settled down we played some of our best hockey and won the 2nd half, and could easily have had one of two more in the final stages, but were repeatedly denied by their very competent lady goalkeeper.

Debuts at O 50 level for Graham Sparrow and Neil Midgely, who celebrated with his first goal for Hertford, Chris Shattock was our other goalscorer. Thanks go to Clive for donning the keepers kit on a last minute call, and to DP J for coming down to umpire.
