Hertford A team won gold medals at the Southgate tournament.
Hertford won every game in a tournament of 6 matches including Southgate A and St Albans A, with 27 goals scored, none conceded.
Pressuring and tackling were superb today. Over the 6 matches, the opposition had only 1 shot at goal in our D all day.
Movement running forward for passes was excellent, all opponents struggled to defend the waves of forward pressure, because Hertford pass quickly and selflessly.
Special thanks to Martha Kerr for playing in our A team and scoring a nice goal.

Hertford B played fantastically well, to finish with bronze medals in the Southgate tournament.
Matthew Norman played a fantastic game for the U10s in goal, making multiple important saves, very impressive.
Henry Walker drove forward to score well both from open play and from short corners.
Hal Head did very well in midfield, both running back to defend , and pushing forward to support the attacks.
Tom Lamb defended strongly, and can be pleased how well he cleared the ball forward.
James Pennington was very strong in centre midfield, stopping the opponents' attacks with his determination.
Kai Chantler tackled well on his wing, there were very few successful attacks by any opponent down Kai's wing today.
Lewis Rawlinson tackled well as left-wing in midfield and played his best ever hockey again today.
Special mention should go to the 3 boys who are still U8s players - with the U10s short of players, Henry Walker, Hal Head & Matthew Norman again joined us from the U8s and were very strong members of the team today.
Scorers: Henry Walker, 3
Congratulations to the B team on their bronze medals, this is the best we have seen the B team play this season and they deserve their award.
Training for both A and B team again this Saturday, 9-10.30am these are fun sessions and all are welcome.
