Saturday was the second game in a row we played a team from the top 4, Blueharts 6s followed last Saturday by our 5s currently in 2nd place who (in any normal season) would be top if not for the Bengal Tigers playing at least 2 leagues lower than their form reflects.
Unfortunately in the next two games we play third place Bedford 6s followed by Bengal Tigers away at Redbridge and Ilford so things will not get any easier. After that we need to be looking to take some points from the teams around us in order to keep ourselves in Div 6, which is our aim this season and still very much in our control.
We continue to play well as a team despite playing the better sides in the league at present and need to carry that standard when playing those teams around us, if we do that we should be able to stay up.
As always team please set availability asap as we are looking very tight across the club this week.
