Academy lose to a strong Royston Team

A tough game - the opposition were physically strong; pretty mobile & skilful in the midfield & sensible old heads at the back.
Despite that the academy played some of their best hockey throughout the game - there were long spells when we were on top & they packed out the defence - at one point all 11 opposition in & around their D.
They only had one shot in the first half & scored; then second half they had a few more opportunities - good saves from Geoff - but the eventually scored from a short corner.
At times the passing was excellent & the pressure built nicely, we were just unable to convert the few chances we had
A number of contenders for Man of the Match - however, the final tally led to Will picking up the prize (figuratively speaking) - well done.
