Another loss but not a bad performance after such a long layoff.
We lost it in the warm up when we cowered in the rain while a worryingly strong Stortford side smashed the ball around. But we all fought hard and after being under the cosh for 15 minutes scored a great goal with Chris Duncan nicking the ball in from an Andy Benson cross.
It couldn't last and we turned round 3 - 1 down despite some fine saves from keeper Nick.
As we tired in the second half losing Ryan to illness ( or possibly washed away in the rain) Stortford inevitably got on top. The young Robs and Tom all did well but the elder defenders showed the effects of another year and struggled to cope with the hard running and hard hitting of the opposition.
Despite that we kept the game interesting if not competitive with Tor and Adam ( having finally got to play) both scoring from quality cross field moves.
As ever we can do better but we can also expect slightly easier opposition at some point before Easter. Roll on next week.
