A poor start by the 5's saw us 2 down in the first ten minutes. They were soft goals, a short corner that should have been cleared and one that dribbled through Clive's legs to be cleared off the line by Dave Harding. The goal was given and we never really recovered.
The rest of the game was fairly even with Sean Keogh and Andy Rawlings, on his welcome debut of the season, working desperately hard in midfield. But the passing was generally woeful and the gap between the defense and the beleaguered forward line got ever bigger.
With 10 minutes to go Chris Duncan scored a fine goal from a rare DPJ pass. We should have gone on from there but almost immediately a defensive mix up gifted the opposition a third and it was all over.
We need to control the ball and pass better if we are to worry top of the table Winchmore on Saturday but if we can maintain the commitment and work for each other we can still spring a surprise.
