Turn right at the aeroplane!
The last words of my right wing man Becks before getting in the car to travel to RAF Halton to play Tring.
Well I turned right and made it to the pitch in plenty of time despite the opposition not having the pitch or the changing rooms open.
We eventually got on to do our warm up and pre match team talk and with another win of the toss (100% record there) we pushed back rearing to go.
We took an early lead much to the surprise of the opposition who must have checked the five counties website earlier in the week and made the fatal error of thinking we would be a pushover! Cheeky cheeky!
I am pretty sure we went into the half time break 1-0 up knowing the first ten minutes if the 2nd half were critical. So low and behold the opposition scored. So we carried on our fighting spirit and scored an impressive second. The opposition were well peed off by this stage so with their perseverance got another short corner and made it 2-2.
We held onto this draw despite the numerous sliding tackles (it's not football ladies) and the risk of infection of one of the opposition insisting her knee had stopped bleeding even though wiping the blood into her top wasn't making the bleeding stop!
I owe a big thanks to izzie, Alice, Lucie b, Katie and Elanor for helping us out this week and of course my regular ladies.
Goal scorers were izzie and Lucy b. Man of the match was a joint affair with both Elanor and myself taking the infamous man if he match badge.
I am delighted with the performance and hope to take this non losing form into the last two games of 2015.
Oh and the photo is how we all look after the match
