Top Of the League Blueharts came to town, well Sir Fredric Osborn School with their impressive top of the league stature.
With the knowledge of the oppositions dizzy heights at the top of the table and experiencing the worst week of my captaincy player drop outs , I positioned the team in our new formation determined that nothing was going to put me off!
Well it was a little windy to say the least at Sir Fredric Osborn and with our best efforts into the wind were struggling to get much momentum going.
Blueharts scored there only three goals in the first half of the game which shows the below:
- They are not the side we played against when they beat us in the friendly and then the first league game of the season. Perhaps they are a little tired halfway through the season having one all of their games by at least 5-0 a game.
- Our formation is working as we held them off the second half. (Think the Haribo fantastics gave us the wee kick we needed).
A big thanks this week goes to Di who has helped me no end in getting a team out and again to Di & Alice for being subs for our match despite their mornings run out at Letchworth.
Man of the match goes again to Kirstie who is building up quite a collection of badges!
Thanks to Teresea for doing teas, the Jacket Potato and Sausage was just the pre drinking feast I needed.
I am confident we can build up a better run of form in the New Year as we all get more familiar the new formation.
