Last weeks game against Royston must rate as one of the best performances so far this season. Fielding a strong side reflecting the high availability across the club we pressed Royston from the start, with some lovely movement through the midfield leading to a number of early chances. Royston were starting to get back in the game when James got on the end of a lovely through ball to push it passed the keeper to put us one up, this was followed a short time later with his second after a bit of a goal mouth scramble.

We went in at half time 2 up but identified that we were getting over run at times in midfield of the park and made suitable adjustments. We looked an extremely well balanced side From then on, goals coming from Matt H and Russ.
We limited Royston to a couple of chances and they forced a good save from Tony towards the end of the game to keep a clean sheet. Good performances all round sound defence with Matt and Tony working well together and Peter and Matthew pressing well when required from left and right back positions, Alex continuing to make good progress and excellent work rate. The midfield and forward line worked well together and substitutions went much more smoothly the in previous weeks. There were a number of contenders for MOM this week but Matt White gets it for his best performance this season well done.
