Hertford 3 held by MBDA 2-2

A good competitive game last Saturday against a much improved MBDA side from the one we faced earlier in the season as their recent form would suggest.
We made a solid start with some good fast movement and use of the space provided, we lost a bit of shape in midfield and MBDA gradually got more into the game until a super reverse shot from Iain found the net to go in 1 up at half time.

The second half continued much the same and MBDA scored to bring them level fairly early on. A penalty corner resulted in MBDA taking the lead, but we continued to apply pressure which resulted in a lovely strike by Riley to bring us level. As both teams started to tire gaps started to appear at both ends with both teams creating chances, forcing a very late save from Tony in goal to save the point.

Some good performances across the team, Iain and Riley with 2 of the best goals this season so far, Matthew played well in the right back position, Max despite his lack of match practice acquitted himself well, and as always plenty of effort from all. Very close for man of the match this week particularly with the 2 goals to consider but Tony H gets it for the last minute save.
