Last game of the season and we started with real style, passing the ball round and putting the opposition under pressure. It wasn't long before Ciaran opened the scoring, with a fine solo effort easing passed a couple of defenders before finishing calmly. He doubled the tally a few minutes later with a fine tomahawk as Hertford dominated through playing flowing passing hockey. Archie sneaked a third before halftime - in what was one of our best halves of hockey of the season. We eased off the pressure in the second half but still dominated territory and possession. Ciaran duly completed his hatrick with yet another fine finish. Blueharts pulled one back through a flick but Hertford fully deserved to run out 4-1 winners.
A brilliant brilliant season, promoted, champions and unbeaten in league and friendlies - couldn't ask for much more! All helped by having such a strong group of young players developing throughout the season. Happy days.
