Development Team end year with a win

Good to play at Letchworth in daylight rather than our usual 5pm graveyard shift. We started well with Jeremiah playing a blinder for the first 10 mins, causing the opposition all sorts of problems and setting up the first goal for Luke Rawlinson, who finished smartly. Jeremiah then subbed himself off and curled up in the dugout as his winter bug got the better of him! Our goal spurred Letchworth into action and we soaked up a fair amount of pressure. While Sam made a couple of decent saves, we did ourselves no favours with some rather panicky defending. We got back on even terms and then created more chances, and it was Archie's turn to finish well after a good passing move. In the second half we were more solid at the back and the midfield and forwards were stronger as we played good team hockey. Their keeper made a string of good saves from short corners and open play to keep the score down. We finally scored a third when Max's shot was parried by the keeper and Luke was quickest to react to lash the ball home from one centimetre for his second of the match. A very good game and a very good performance from the Development Team. Tim had a fantastic game but Man of the Match went to Max, who was immense.
