A new look Shefford and Sandy side came to visit Hertford and we had a great game of running hockey. Debutant Matt Earle settled I well, and Hertford quickly settled into their normal passing game. We had most of the possession but the opposition keeper made a series of good saves from a number of shots on goal. Shefford did threaten on the break but our defence managed to snuff out their attacks. The deadlock was broken in the second half when Doug scored with a sharp shot following some sustained attacking pressure. It was a great game, with both sides trying to pass the ball around. We played some great hockey, with Max Hawkins absolutely awesome.
