The Men's 3's continued their quest for promotion with lowly Potters Bar visiting Balls Park on Saturday, a number or regulars missing including skipper Clive Insole, vice kipper Nik Bentley took the reigns this week (and he did forget the half time jelly babies!)
Hertford dominated the first half and despite falling behind to an early goal they recovered well to score twice through the veteran Matt Earle (although one goal is still with the dubious goals committee) and the returning Andy Williamson.
As has been the norm for Hertford this year, they did not drop off in the second half and with Jeremiah Donoghue bossing the midfield, we dominated possession and only some great saves from the Bar (Men's 1's/2's) Keeper kept Hertford at bay. But finally in the last few minutes, a fourth goal was added through Steve Worrall to give a comprehensive victory.
Unfortunately all the other teams at the top won, so we move to next week and St Albans in the hope that someone slips up.
