The 3's made the short trip to St.Albans to play the bottom side, with Damian Pitts joining us from the 2's.
Despite early possession from Albans, the first attacking move from Hertford resulted in a goal from Damo, after just 5 minutes. Hertford thought they had doubled their lead shortly afterwards when James Berry finished from close range, but was disallowed due to a foot infringement. As the half went on Hertford seemed to lose their way as Albans grew in confidence, but Hertford held on to their lead at half time.
Albans came out in the second half and putting on the pressure and controlling possession. The goal eventually came, although soft, from a short corner. The remainder of the game remained reasonable even, with Albans probably creating the better chances, a combination of Nik Bentley and Miles Henderson-Lea keeping out a lob over Smudger keeping the scores level.
So we move onto next week and leaders Broxbourne visit us a Balls Park - time for a win.
