Hertford Hockey Club Ladies 1st Team player Molly Hobson (on the right in the picture) has been selected in the Saxon Tigers U17 Squad for the Futures Cup being held at Oaklands College (St Albans) between 21st and 25th August. The Futures Cup runs over four days and sees the six squads battle it out to be crowned winners. The National Age Group Coaches attend this tournament to select for the England U16 and U18 squad from these squads..

Molly has come up through the Junior section at Hertford representing all age groups for both club and county as well as attending England Hockey’s Performance Centres. Last season saw her be a key factor in the Ladies 1’s push for promotion only to lose out in the last game and also the U16 Girls where they narrowly missing out on making the National Finals of the England Hockey U16 Competition

The club would also like to congratulate two of our former juniors that have also been selected – Ella Sherring (Also pictured above) now with Southgate (Ladies 1’s) and at Presdales School as well as Luke Kennedy, who is now with St Albans Men’s 1’s
