Last year’s combination of indoor hockey, a masterclass, and some seasonal fun was a resounding success and we are excited to offer a very similar programme this December but with some extra’s sprinkled on top!
INDOOR
Anyone who has watched an indoor game will appreciate just how exhilarating it is. It’s like the normal game on fast forward! Mastering the skills and techniques required is both great fun and also an excellent way to sharpen up for the second half of the outdoor season, not least in terms of the fitness levels required.
James Albery is a young man gifted with fast hands and phenomenal talent and he is currently excelling on the international stage. James loves the indoor game as much as the outdoor and we are thrilled that he will be with us this Christmas.
Two sessions: Monday 18 & Tuesday 19 December
Years 5-8 1.00-4.00pm I Years 9-13 9.00am-12.00noon
OUTDOOR MASTERCLASS
Our outdoor masterclass will focus on goalscoring, passing, awareness and communication. Three hours of fast-paced, fun-packed practices with some of our country’s past and present international stars.
Current full-time centralised athlete Tess Howard and Olympian Nick Thompson will furnish you with more ingenious ways to put the ball in the back of the net.
There’s no bigger buzz than scoring goals!
Creativity is, more often than not, solely associated with elimination skills. The art of creating space and breaking lines with disguised passing can be just as sensational. Former international/Surbiton HC captain and full back, Jon Gall, will show you how to add this fundamental and essential skill to your armoury.
Awareness; presence; empathy and being able to communicate are characteristics that we value highly at Class Hockey.
Current Surbiton captain and former Great Britain International Steph Elliot possesses these skills in abundance and she is the perfect mentor to help you develop this area of your game.

CHRISTMAS FUN
In a fast-paced, intense world where everything you do is analysed and judged, we felt it would be a great idea if you had the opportunity to just play.
Michael Jordan’s exhortation to, ‘Just play. Have fun. Enjoy the game!’ says it all.
Three hours of match play and fun challenges, sprinkled with a little festive spirit. With Christmas music and opportunities to win prizes, we hope you will come and join us for, what should be, the perfect way to celebrate both Hockey and Christmas!
