Hertford VI 3 - 1 Berkhamsted V

Missing their charismatic captain the Sixes did well to overcome an experienced Berkamsted. A strong core of George H, Jon D and the excellent Dave H gave Hertford the edge and were well supported by the whole team.
After guesting Nick I made a great save Hertford went ahead through a clinical finish from Ian R and dominating the rest of the half should have gone further ahead.
In the second half Berkamsted pushed forward but a fine move up the right let Aaron D cross for Ian R to score again. A defensive mix up let Berko pull one back and then they pressed for an equaliser. Nick I though was rarely troubled and when Hertford broke again Andy B rolled back the years with a hammer shot which left the keeper no chance.
An excellent win in which everyone can take credit but next week's opposition Southgate Adelaide could be a tougher proposition.
