Top Bananas!

Three tough matches for the mighty Hertford U8s team this morning, and all the players rose to the occasion. Letchworth A were tough opponents but Hertford came out of the blocks much quicker and dominated possession and territory to run out 3-0 winners, with Henry (2) and Cate getting the goals.
Hertford couldn't quite get into their stride against Blueharts A after conceding an an early goal. Despite battling hard, went down 3-1, with Hal scoring an excellent break away goal.
In the final match against Letchworth A, Hertford conceded an early goal but then picked themselves up to come storming back to win 4-2 with Henry (2), Cate and Hal scoring.
The commitment and tenacity of all the players was great, the tackling was good (but perhaps we need to focus more on tackling the opposition next time!), and when we passed the ball the games really opening up. An excellent morning's work and it was good to see all the players getting really stuck in. A great debut of Cate from Hertford, and a strong first game of hockey from Alex, but most of all a great team effort - well done all!
