Well done to all those who played on Sunday.
This was the first time the boys had played together as an 11 aside team and for some the first time they had played on a full size pitch. Both Upminster and Chelmsford were strong sides and their greater experience showed especially in the first game against Upminster (lost 6-0) with the Hertford boys finding their feet and getting used to the size of pitch and marking. The second game against Chelmsford was a much more even affair albeit the boys lost 2-0. There was some fine tackling in defence and some crisp passing in midfield and upfront leading to some good chances on goal. It was great to see the boys putting in to practice some of the skills they have focussed on in training. Most of all the boys never gave up and gave their all in both games
