Old Loughtonians were put to the sword 9 - 0 !! The boys played really well as you can imagine and Elliot Barling who umpired was "well impressed" (his words). It would have been more but for their excellent goalkeeper whose acrobatics kept out many short corners and even a well taken penalty stroke was saved (James Rollins).
The score at half time was 5-0.
Our boys simply had too much. Too much energy, intensity, tackling, dribbling but above all too much team work for the opposition . They distributed the ball well and attacked relentlessly down both wings. The opposition were pinned into their own half for most of the game and rarely threatened save for one short corner and a respectable save from Tor (who was doing his homework for most of the game).
