Ladies 3s back on track!

First game of the day and it was bitter with the wind howling across the open pitch! But the ladies were on good form and played some fantastic hockey from the offset. Lots of great passing up the pitch and numerous shots on goal throughout the game but unfortunately only 1 managed to go in the net. But what a goal it was.....passed up the pitch between the mids and forwards and received at the top of the D by Izzie Wing who hit it up and over the goalie to secure a 1-0 lead before half time. Sadly despite many more attempts on goal by Izzie, Vicky and Karen the score on the door when the final whistle blew was still 1-0. Eleanor and the defence as usual held their own and had a fairly non eventful game although at the beginning of the second half were spurred in to action as Potters Bar came out fighting after a tough half time talk.

A very well deserved Man of the match went to our new recruit Vicky Lear :-))
