Winning streak is broken

The week ended on a high with all 4 teams ending up with 2 subs due to the 5s cancelling their friendly....yes 2!!!!!! However at 11am only 10 ladies pitch side :-( Phone call 1 ended up with hearing that poor Georgie was in A&E after being bitten by a dog. Phone call 2 was slightly more optimistic as the goalie, maya, was on her way.....phew!!!! And better late than never Sophie turned up with time to spare - yay!!!

So off we went......each and every player played fantastic but sadly the mix of 3s (Di, Sophie, Jo, Emily, Becca, Ella, and 4s (lily, Amanda, Bev, Vicky, maya, Karen) didn't quite manage to keep Bedford at bay and by half time they had 2 goals in their hand. Tough team talk at half time and fuelled by the jelly babies and haribo we went back out fighting! And it worked. Sophie Murphy dominated the game and with Jo ross hot on her heels the centre midfield was under control Allowing a break in the game by Karen Rock! Off she went down the wing with Sophie for support who received the ball at top of the D and with a swift hit passed it straight to Becca on the post who popped it in past the keeper......textbook hockey that Mary would be proud off ending the game 2-1
