Hertford ladies 3s leave St Albans very angry indeed!

Another fabulous performance with sophisticated hockey from this fresh team. The 1:0 score did not reflect the dominance of Hertford ladies 3s in this game. Endless shots on goal were saved by a leaping St Albans keeper who demonstrated extraordinarily skills for this division! Alas with her skill on the ground this keeper would only concede one goal through the ‘back door’ at end of Lucy Bs stick, yet again another impressive performance from Miss Lucy!

At half time, with one goal down St Albans came out angry and fighting. The endless howling from the mature ‘ladies’ of the St Albans team did not phase the Hertford ladies who kept a cool head throughout and kept focused to maintain the win. Cool as a cucumber, young Laura Sharman defended with style and finesse, unrattled by the increasingly angry St Albans, man of the match was justly awarded to this very promising 13 year old player. . Fabulous defending with immaculate timing from vice captain Di Mckay. Impressive hammering balls from our new Antipodean player, Aletta Wls, proving herself to be a very useful shot corner hitter however there was one slightly over cooked under-cut short hit which nearly left us minus one umpire! Lovely on-ball skills displayed by Becca Willis who credited her new skills to attendance at training, apparently Training is all the rage this season! All round lovely hockey from Hertford ladies 3s.
