The Academy return to winning ways with a win at MBDA. The boys arrived at John Henry Newman School knowing they would be tough match against struggling MBDA.
The first half was a scrappy affair with Hertford gaining the advantage through a Ewen Macpherson goal, racing clean through and rounding the keeper to slot home. MDBA pushed hard to create chances, but the Hertford defense stood firm, with Geoff Hopkin called on to make a couple of saves. With Ewen pace up front, Hertford where always dangerous on the break.
A tough talk at half time and Hertford started to play their normal passing game after the break and creating far more chances and added to their lead through two nice finishes from Josh Over as well as Josh Chandler first goal in senior hockey, slotting in after the keeper had saved with his pads. MBDA did slot home in the gloom (No Floodlights!) in the the final few minutes to make the final score 4-1.
Then Academy side moved up to 7th in the table with a couple of results still to come in
