........and win 5-0

The day didn't start well. Traffic issues meant half of the team didn't arrive until 5 mins before we were supposed to push back. The opposition were kind and gave us an extra 5 mins to sort ourselves out. As with most of the games so far we started well and looked the part, the main difference this time is we kept on top of them and got the goal. After about 20 mins another of their players turned up and he was told " get yourself sorted and get on the pitch as soon as you can"........they had been playing with 10 men. Thankfully the extra man didn't make much difference and a we went into half time 2-0 up. What we were doing really well was defending from the front, putting the press on their back line and midfield. When in possession of the ball we were passing the ball around them, turning back when the way forward was blocked and finding that little bit more edge to threaten the goal.

We were determined to come out after half time and not let our performance slip, and there was a good chance they were going to come out fighting. We continued all the good things of the first half. and it was our turn to get the quick goal after the interval. When we were 4-0 up they lost a player to injury and were back down to 10. We scored our 5th, and 8 minutes before the end Mark persuaded their already wound up centre back who was cursing at him self, to start cursing at him and get yellow carded. Unfortunately we saw this as an excuse to start running with the ball, straight into opposition players and the score line stayed at 5-0.

Our goals came from
Allan Ross x 2
Luke Rawlinson
Ed Mills
Jared Parry-Ford (Great drag flick!)

After a good team performance man of the match votes were spread through 5 players, the one with the most was a well deserved Luke Rawlinson who looked hungry all game, defending hard from the front and a constant threat with the ball.

The back 3 were solid and hardly put a foot wrong , the midfield worked hard and linked up well. Allan, Ed and Mark picking up some MOM votes.

Well done all
