Mens 4s Vs St Albans 7s

For the second week running we were faced with opposition who were playing in div 6 last year. Again we started well and had the possession and pressure we needed. Their first goal coming against the run of play. The goal settled them down and they came into the game more. We had flashes of brilliance with some lovely passing moves up the pitch but it was the endeavour of the St Albans youngsters that kept the pressure on us and we went into the break 2-0 down. On balance they dissevered their half time lead but we were still in the game.
I think our captain needs to have lessons in motivational speaking because just after the break for the third week running we conceded a goal to go 3-0 down.....and then another just 3 minutes later. We were still fighting hard and trying to nullify the effects of their playmakers but that left us out of shape with gaps through the middle. We had our possession and chances, moved the ball nicely. They were just that bit mort threatening than we were. 2 more goals saw the game end 6-0.

6 goals was a bit undeserved. We are growing as team. We must go into next weeks game with the belief that we can win. The 2 league games we played were against strong teams in our division, weaker will follow.
