A great day's work with a fine win against one of the Division's strugglers. We had much more time on the ball and used that to pass the ball around and test their defence. I am a bit hazy on the details but I think Luke Rawlinson settled our nerves by poaching our first goal from close range. Howie doubled the lead following up clinically from a short corner, and Luke scored his second with a skilful flick from a pull back from the back line. 3-0 up at halftime and we started the second half after more goals. All credit to Southgate Adelaide as their re-organised themselves and kept us at bay during he third quarter. As fatigue set in, Hertford began to convert their chances, with Doug scoring another. Luke then scored another four - it seemed that every time hit got the ball he scored! One was a good finish from a quick break down the right, and another was an good deflection from an excellent hit into the D. It finished 8 - 0 and could have been more if the Southgate Adelaide keeper hadn't saved so many. A good performance, especially for double hatrick hero Luke.
