Another Week Another Win
As the Men's 3's continue winning run
This week the men's 3's managed to turn up with a full squad, with the returning Jasper Carr, Nik Bentley and Paul Hiskens. Knowing that we had dropped points against lowly opposition previously the skipper had a determined team talk to make sure we started in the right frame of mind.
Hertford still proceeded to start slowly, but still created the better changes with the Letchworth keeper making some decent saves and Berry putting over from close range keeping the score goal less. Finally they took the lead as Hiskens delicate touch nut-megged the keeper. This was closely followed by a second from James Berry to comfortably lead at the break.
The half time chat was more of the same without trying to be too clever, and three goals in the first 15-20 minutes, all from James Berry consolidated our lead. A disallowed short corner was quickly followed by a sixth goal from Jon Layfield to complete what was a comfortable victory and we move on to entertaining St Albans next week.
