The Men's 3's made the short trip to Oaklands with another large squad, a couple of changes from last week with Sam Timms taking over in goal from Smudger and Hugo back in for Matt Earle.
The 1st half was all Hertford as the controlled possession and created all the chances, with St.Albans (despite having a number of 5 XI players) struggled to make into the D. First half goals from Dickie Rawlinson, Steve Worrall and Paul Hiskens gave Hertford a comfortable 3-0 at the break.
The second half was a different affair, with St. Albans bolstered at the back with their 5th team captain, Hertford were on the back foot for a majority of the period, but still created the better of the chances until St.Albans scored a couple of late goals, and it needed a goal line clearance from Tony Morrison to ensure the Hertford held on to their advantage and a deserved win.
Some excellent performances from Miles and Hugo, and a few comedy moments, including Mr Hiskens kicking the ball in midfield with no one close to him.
Unbeaten Bedford Vets this weekend, and with one defeat in four games, we look for back to back wins for the first time this season
