Disappointing Start for Men's 3's

The Men's 3's made the short trip to Woollam's, St.Albans to face Harpenden 4's in the first League Game in Division 6SW. Harpenden had just come down from the League above and although depleted in number's the 3's were looking forward to starting the season as they finished last years

Although the 3's started by conceding a soft goal, they started to take control of the ball, without creating many opportunities and then on the break Harps won a debatable short corner from which they scored, following quickly by a third to leave us 3-0 down at HT.

Skipper Clive Insole rallied the troops at HT, and Hertford went out with renewed vigor to get themselves back in the game, despite this some clinical play by Harpenden, and some tiring legs in the Hertford team, Harps proceeded to score another 4 goals to leave the final score 7-0

The team ethic was excellent and they never gave up, and although beaten by a better side, the final scoreline was a little harsh on the team.

Some excellent individual performances from Miles Henderson-Lea and (MOTM) Max Hawkins.

The chap's that attended the club Boat Trip in the evening certainly had a good evening.

Next week it is Letchworth 3's at home, and a chance to get some points on the board
