As he reached his half-century in quick time before the game began

With the current test tour in India not going England's way, and young Haseeb Hameed getting injured, things were not looking good for the side. They were in desperate need of a replacement, and fortunately for them, even younger James Rollins has produced the goods once again, this time scoring an unbeaten 50. Aggressive bowling from Tom Smith proved to be the incorrect approach on this wicket. Good wicket keeping from Luke Rawlinson ensured that runs were kept to a minimum. Smith had his frustrating day with the ball made even worse when he tripped over his own bag when chasing a run out opportunity. Archie Akers displayed some good fielding skills in the covers to prevent several certain boundaries from getting to the intended destination. Because of his trip over his own bag, Smith went straight to number 1 for DoD. #RollinsforEngland

Tom did not spend too long at the top of the DoD chart, when Doug decided to make his mark, by arielling the ball off of the pitch, and over the fence. This is the third time this has happened this season. Howie took it upon himself to show the rest of the team how to ariel a ball, and did so without any mistakes, exploiting gaps behind the Blueharts defenders.

Blue Harts scored first, but Archie replied in ferocious fashion, as he opened Hertford's scoring with an 'absolute screamer' into the bottom corner, leaving the keeper no chance to save it. Luke Rawlinson scored Hertford's second goal, putting them 1-2 ahead, but with only a few minutes left to play, Blueharts grabbed one back from a short corner. Hertford had one more half chance at the end of the game, but Russ's hopeful shot went just wide. The game ended 2-2 - Hertford's first drawn game of the season, leaving them in 5th in the table.

Bring on the mince pies and Turkey.
