True Grit, True 2s

In what could be described as a rather feisty encounter, Hertford 2s maintained their position at the top of 4SW with a gritty draw away at newly promoted Berkhamsted.

Despite taking the lead early in the first half, through another Andrew Durbin short corner poach, the opposition then took control of the midfield and put the Herts defence under intense pressure which led to them drawing level before the end of the half.

A sharp shot drilled into the bottom right corner from Nick Hart put Hertford back in the lead but what then followed was 10-15 mins of sustained Berkhamsted pressure. The 2s worked hard to track opposing players but the home side managed to get themselves level with ten to go.

Hertford had a few chances just before the final whistle even with a short corner being cleared off the line.

In the end a draw was a fair result although the team hopes to get back to winning ways next weekend.
