Hertfords Penultimate game sees them take on local rivals Broxbourne. Hertford currently sit top of the league with a game in hand over Broxbourne and know that a win would guarantee them the title with a game to spare. The stags will be looking to push on from their 5-1 win over Cheshunt and play in much the same way witnessed throughout the summer.
A mixture of free flowing hockey and patience on the ball has allowed Hertford to create the openings needed to grab crucial goals. They will also be looking to take advantage of their Short Corner routines with the returning Nick Downer and Gav Elliott waiting at the top of the D. Youth continues to be the focus of the team with the ever more reliable Tom Smith in Goal and the up and coming full back James Rollins returning to the team. Finn Kennedy also joins the team this week looking to scout out some future players fir the mens 2s to allow him to have a successful first season as captain, a job he is very much looking forward to getting stuck into over the next few weeks.
All in all Hertford are set up very well for this game and with a patient head and clinical finishing they should see themselves match and hopefully beat the fiercest rivals.
