Hertford finally find winning formula

The mens 1s got back to winning ways with a fantastic team performance against bottom of the table Letchworth 2's.

We went ahead within 10 minutes as some great work from Alec Short down the right saw him drive into the circle utilising his 3D skills and smashing it into the bottom corner. Cooper added a second minutes later after some good interchange with Ian Dunnett.

Then Letchworth hit back after a deflected strike hit Stan Power on the line giving them a penalty flick which they converted. We then stepped up through the gears and a slick short corner routine saw Downer deflect a strike into the bottom corner.

Going into half time we knew we needed to capitalise and within 5 minutes Forrester had extended the lead with a neat finish from a srambled shot corner. Further goals from Ian Dunnet, Ben Cooper and Joel Forrester saw us win 7-1.

A great performance from the whole team but special mention the the back 4 of Power, Hawes, Goodson and birthday boy Barling who put in a superb performance
