Forrester Hatrick Defeats Leaders

We decided very early on in the week to put the last game behind us and think ahead to the challenge of facing unbeaten top of the league Blueharts 2's this weekend. We knew it was going to be a tough challenge as our form has been inconsistent but we know that we can beat any team in this league if we play to our abilities. Captain Downer kept the pre match talk short and sweet asking the team to focus on the simple things knowing that we had to keep our heads after last weeks disappointment. We went ahead after about 10 mins from a nicely executed shot corner from Forrester and continued to heap on the pressure of a stretched looking Blueharts side. James Harris finally opened his account and scored a delicate lob over the on rushing keeper. Another flick from Forrester put us further ahead and then Blueharts pulled one back showing that there was still alot to play for. The team kept their heads and the back four did a superb job of keeping Blueharts at bay. A slick short corner routine between Downer and Forrester left Joel Forrester with acres of space to slot in for his hat trick. Will Harris then completed our scoring with a scrambled effort at the back post. Blueharts pulled one back but Hertford remained solid and saw the game out. A superb performance giving the much needed confidence boost looking ahead to next weeks game
