Hertford 1s remain without a point at home following another heavy defeat in Division 2SW. The team felt their season was picking up following a 6-0 win over Letchworth but a strong Potters Bar team had their own agenda. Potter Bar surprised the home team with their first attack resulting in a goal from short distance. Potters Bar goal threat continued through the whole match with their 7 goals littered evenly throughout the 70 minutes. The scoreline could have been greater had it not been for Mike Hawes playing exceptionally well at centre back against an experienced and quick centre forward.

Although Hertford would feel they had a large amount of possession, their chances in front of goal were not taken aside from a Ben Cooper goal in the first half following a quickly taken free hit by Tom Evans and quick build up play by Darren Norman. This goal could do little to ignite a comeback though as Potters Bar continually frustrated Hertford's attacking flow. Further frustration arose at the end as Joel Forrester was sent off for needless dissent.

Hertford will have to work hard in the week before Saturday's home game against Blue Harts to ensure their first points at home for the season.
