Fresh from the Winter break Hertford travelled to high flying West Herts on Saturday full of optimism that the side could change their current form and league position heading into the 2nd half of the season.
The visitors started brightly placing early pressure on the opposition however West Herts soon took control scoring two goals in quick succession. Hertford responded soon after through Joel Forrester and went in 2-1 at half time.
A strong West Herts side raised the intensity of game immediately after the restart and showed why they are currently 2nd in the league with 3 excellent, well worked goals increasing their lead to 5 - 1.
Hertford never stopped competing and continued to create a series of openings. Joel Forrester scored a 2nd from open play and moments later added a third to compete his hat trick from a well drilled short corner routine.
With Hertford tiring and searching for a 4th West Herts scored the final goal with the match ending 6 – 3 to the home side. A special mention to Hertford goalkeeper Jared Parry-Ford who made a string of excellent saves throughout the match.
