Starts May 26th

On Friday 26 May, the Hockey for Heroes team embarks on their latest challenge, Op Stretcher.

Beginning at Sofia Gardens in Cardiff, the team will play the first of 30 matches over the ten days that follow. On top of all that time on the pitch, the squad will be walking over 200 miles from venue to venue whilst carrying Dominic Lovett on a stretcher.
Dom is a former Royal Marine, Navy and Combined Service hockey player, who unfortunately suffered severe injuries whilst serving and is now tetraplegic. He is also the son of one of the Hockey for Heroes squad members.

The tour will finish on Sunday 4 June at Marlow HC, where there will be a large family festival style event and you are all invited.

The club member Nick Downer is heavily involved with the tour, as well as Molly Pallet who is in the Ladies Squad and ex First Team Coach Joel Forester who is the main driver of the Tour. Any donations that you can give are hugely appreciated and go a long way to helping both former and current serving personnel.

Hertford HC will be competing against the Heroes Team on DAY 8 at Oaklands College on Friday 2nd June at 6pm, please come down and support the Tour.

Donations can be made through Nick’s just giving page HERE or by texting NDHH51 followed by the amount to 70070.

As a club we are donating a percentage of our Raffle Takings from this year's Annual Dinner & Dance to the cause

Many thanks

Nik Bentley (Chairman)
