Lots of fun on a cold morning!

We had two teams playing at the Letchworth tournament. The brilliant B team breezed passed Southgate Bs 3-0, and saw out a hard fought 1-1 draw against St Albans. Despite slipping up to a 1-3 defeat against Blueharts B, the team bounced back to beat Harpenden Bs 1-0. Josephine, Matilda K, Lizzie and Leo scored a goal each, and Matilda S scored two. There were some strong individual performances throughout the team, and Ian coached the team brilliantly.
The might Cs didn't quite get going in the first game, drawing 0-0 against Royston Cs. But they then got going beating Harpenden Cs and Blueharts Cs both 1-0 before seeing off St Albans Cs 2-0. Hertford deserved the wins as they were the stronger team in the matches. Some good performances all round, with Emily very good in defence, Lotus showing some great stick skills down the left and Lara showing composure on the ball. Everyone got really stuck in and played their hearts out, and the quality of hockey was a step up on the previous games. In her first games for the club, after an initial problem with her radar, Lois really got her shooting boots on and scored 3 goals, with Lara scoring the other.
A great morning's hockey and a lot of fun had by players, coaches and parents!
