We're delighted to announce the follow-up to our hugely successful Beacon Hockey Easter Performance Camp! On the 15th and 16th August we'll be running our Summer Performance Camp.

The camp is open to outfield players and goalkeepers, ages 11 to 17, with good basics (DC level and above). Players will be divided into similar age/ability groups, so that everyone benefits from playing alongside and against their peers.

The two days are planned so that building blocks are put in place through both technical and game-based scenarios. This means that learning is rounded and fully contextual - i.e. clearly related to the real game. Lunchtime "classroom" sessions are devised to support on-pitch learning, through the use of video and/or analysis from international and top level club hockey.

Our belief is that the best learning environments are those in which players are excited to be playing and feel free to express themselves creatively. So our aim is to create an awesome environment for our players, in order to provide the platform for them to engage and start to take responsibility for their own learning.
