First up, tournament favourites Canterbury, and the boys put in an excellent performance to lose by the only goal of the game from a short corner. Next up host, Old Loughtonians Purples, who we met at the Regional Finals in Harleston, another close game with Jasper Skillet pulling it back to 2-1, when a decision went against us and a couple of couple of soft goals gave Old Lought’s rather flattering 5-1 score line.

Full credit to the boys, as they bounced back from this in style in the remaining part of the tournament, first up beating Old Loughtonians Whites, 3-0 with goals from Jasper Skillet, Tom Weller and David James. Next up local rivals Broxbourne and a comfortable 2-0 win with Jasper Skillet and Zac Henderson-Lea scoring the goals.

Last up was Southgate and another comfortable 3-0 with goals from Jasper Skillet, Edward Winstanley (first goal for the team) and Chris Boquiren.

This gave the boys a very creditable 3rd place finish in a tournament in which last year we did not win a game – this shows all how they have all come.
