As Men's 1's seal the League Title

Another great weekend for the club.

The men’s 1’s secured promotion to Div 2 south, as well as the League Title with a 6-1 win over WGC, which was not as comfortable as it sounds. Great seasons work by the team as a whole as well as captain Ian Dunnett and Coach Nick Downer. To only lose one game all season and notch up 3 figures in the “For” column is a great achievement.

The M3’s finished the season with a comfortable win at Luton 5-0 to consolidate their mid table position in Div 5 SW. And the M4’s lost narrowly to Stevenage 3 3-2 at home.

The Men’s Academy won again for the third time in a row, 4-1 against Luton with the Macpherson's again grabbing the limelight with all the goals. But also some excellent individuals performances across the team including Josh Chandler, Ed Hartley, Oli Henderson-Lea and Alex Archer.

In the Ladies Section, the L2’s promotion bid came to an end with a narrow home loss 1-0 to Hemel & Berkhamsted. The Ladies continued their battle against the drop with 4 points out of a possible six with a 3-3 draw at Letchworth on Saturday, followed by a 3-1 win at Stevenage on Sunday. A win in one of next weekend’s game should see them safe, depending on other results

Finally in the Junior Section, the U10 Boys had a tournament at Southgate today with their A Team winning all their games and the B Team coming third in the tournament. Great effort from all the boys and special mention for Martha Kerr playing for the Boys A Team and in the B Team with Matthew Norman outstanding in goal and Henry Walker scoring 3 goals
