Half Term Junior Hockey Camps at Southgate - February 2009 At half term we are running a range of hockey camps. Liz Moss Southgate Hockey Centre 020 8440 7574 0790 500 5168 CAMP 1 – UNDER 12’s HOCKEY JUNIOR SKILLS CAMP 10am- 4pm Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 February 2009 A fun course of hockey skills for children of all abilities aged 8 to 11. Children will be divided into groups on the first morning and coached according to experience and ability. The course will include training and exercises designed to introduce new skills and develop technique. There will of course be lots of games and competition. Price £50 (lunch is not included). CAMP 2 – IMPROVERS HOCKEY CAMP 10am- 4pm Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 February 2009 An intermediate camp covering on a range of basic attacking and defending skills. This camp is for boys and girls aged 12 to 16 who want to improve their skills. Price £50 (lunch is not included). CAMP 3 – JUNIOR GK CAMP 10am- 4pm Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 February 2009 An fun course in goalkeeping skills for the under 12s. The course will include basic positioning and posture, left and right hand saves, 1v1s, 2v1s, kicking, pad saves, short corner defence. For boys and girls aged 8-11 years old. Limited number of GK kits are available if you do not have your own. Price £50 (lunch is not included) CAMP 4 – ADVANCED HOCKEY CAMP with John Shaw* & Miguel Da Graca (South Africa) 10am- 4pm Thursday 19 and Friday 20 February 2009 An advanced camp covering a range of skills. Lead by former GB international John Shaw, this camp is for boys and girls aged 12 to 16, playing county hockey and above. If you are below this standard, Camp 2 will be more suitable. Price £60 (lunch is not included). *John will only be coaching on Friday 20 Feb. CAMP 5 – GK CAMP 10am- 4pm Thursday 19 and Friday 20 February 2009 An intensive course in goalkeeping skills. The course will include left and right hand saves, 1v1s, 2v1s, kicking, pad saves, diving and short corner defence. For boys and girls aged 12 to 16. Price £60 (lunch is not included).
